La chanson parle de la solitude et du vide que l'on ressent lorsque ses amis s'éloignent et qu'on se retrouve seul. Le narrateur exprime sa détresse face à l'absence de soutien et de réconfort, se demandant comment surmonter ces moments difficiles sans personne pour l'épauler. Il évoque également un certain égoïsme observé chez ceux qui l'entourent, qui semblent se soucier uniquement d'eux-mêmes, laissant peu de place à la compassion ou à l'entraide.
