La chanson évoque l'idée de vivre après la mort de manière ludique et insouciante. L'auteur imagine une existence en tant que fantôme heureux, où elle pourrait courir librement sans contraintes, faisant référence à des souvenirs d’un passé souvent douloureux. Le texte fastidie l’idée qu’après la vie, il pourrait y avoir une forme d’amusement et de légèreté, où chaque expérience, même celles de l’enfance, pourrait être pardonnée. En toile de fond, il y a une réflexion sur le temps qui passe et sur les choix que nous faisons durant notre vie, tout en conservant une forme de nostalgie. Les références à des personnages célèbres et à des images surréalistes ajoutent une touche onirique à ce voyage au-delà de la vie, tout en interrogeant notre rapport à ceux que nous avons aimés.
