Cette chanson parle de la désillusion et de la trahison que l'on peut ressentir face à des relations humaines. Le protagoniste se sent abandonné et accusé d'être insignifiant après avoir été laissé seul. Il met en lumière le choc de réaliser les vraies intentions des autres, tout en se demandant combien de temps il lui faudra pour faire comprendre ce qu’il ressent. Le contexte illustre bien les luttes internes que l'on peine à exprimer, ainsi que les attentes déçues vis-à-vis des amis ou des proches. Le chant résonne avec l’idée que l’on souhaite souvent croire au meilleur des gens, mais parfois, la réalité s’avère bien plus douloureuse.
