La chanson raconte l'histoire d'un chasseur qui, armé de son arc, part à la recherche de biches dans la forêt. Il réussit à capturer quelques-unes, mais à la fin, il se rend compte de la tristesse d'une biche qu'il a attrapée et décide de la relâcher, la laissant vivre parmi les feuilles verdoyantes.
