Dutch Moon
The Stranglers
This was originally penned by Baz Warne now current lead guitarist/vocalist on The Stranglers. It’s a pretty mellow song that comes off the Norfolk Coast album. Some of the vocal phrasing especially verse 2 is little tricky so I’ suggest listening to the song. Chords are pretty simple: . I play it with a capo on the second fret. Standard tunings. Enjoy! Verse 1: I’ve seen you there I’ve seen you doing your thing in your own space In your own time and that’s just fine But where do you go And have you been somewhere lately where you’ve seen You’d be carefree if not for me Chorus Look back to the time when our paths first came together Gazing at a yellow Dutch moon do it soon Remember my face and the pla-ces it took you Under a fading Dutch moon [Guitar Solo] Repeat Chorus Verse 2: I felt you go I felt you leaving behind all that we had In an instant you’re a firebrand now I curse the moon Forever leading me gently by my hand Into your land By my hand into your land By my hand into your land By my hand into your land Madcactus ()
