See My Friends

The Kinks

Transposer:

Song: See my friends Artist: The Kinks Composer: Ray Davies Tabbed by DJ (’DiddyD’ at ultimateGuitar.com)   15th Jan 2013 The song was inspired by a trip to India and also the tragic death of Ray Davies’ sister. I think on the original single version the guitars are all tuned a half-step down from standard tuning (maybe it was in standard pitch but the backing tracks were slowed down before the vocals were added) I’m sure this is not the way the Kinks played it but I think it works well when you only have one guitar to accompany yourself. To try and emulate the Indian feel of the droning strings slide the shape for the D6sus2/E up two frets for the E7sus2 chords. The names sound very complicated but a lot of the chord shapes I’ve selected are relatively similar and are simple moveable chords. NOTE: Please IGNORE ANY POP-UP CHORD BOXES the website might automatically suggest and use the typed shapes shown below: The chords are named as if still in standard tuning: E        = 022100    E7sus4    = 077700    Bmadd11 = x24430 Esus4    = 022200    E7sus2/F# = x99700    E7      = 022130 D6sus2/E = 057700    E6sus2/4  = x44200    Aadd2   = 577600 E7sus2   = 079900    Badd4     = 799800 Please select a star rating for this tab many thanks ===================================================================== [Intro]     E        Esus4        E          Esus4 e|------0---------0----|-------0---------0----| B|----0---------0------|-----0---------0------| G|--1-----1--/2-----2--|--/4-----4--\2-----2--| |---------------------|----------------------| |---------------------|----------------------| |---------------------|----------------------|     E        Esus4        E        Esus4                                    See-- my---... e|------0---------0----|-------0---------0----| B|----0---------0------|-----0---------0------| G|--1-----1--/2-----2--|--/4-----4--\2-----2--| |---------------------|----------------------| |---------------------|----------------------| |---------------------|----------------------| [Chorus]    D6sus2/E  E7sus2     D6sus2/E  E7sus2 ...fri-------ends        D6sus2/E  E7sus2  E7sus4             D6sus2/E   E7sus2 See my fri-------ends... playing across the ri---------ver                  See my fri---------ends                  D6sus2/E  E7sus2  E7sus4             D6sus2/E   E7sus2 See my fri-------ends... playing across the ri---------ver!
