La chanson évoque les pensées confuses d'un homme qui se demande si la femme qui l'intéresse ressent la même chose pour lui. Il s'interroge sur son authenticité, se demandant si elle est vraiment aussi libre qu'elle le prétend et si elle souhaite vraiment être en sa compagnie. Tout au long des couplets, il se questionne sur son état d'esprit, se demandant si elle sait qu'il pense à elle et si elle partage ses sentiments. L'atmosphère est empreinte de mystère et de désir, laissant entendre que quelque chose flotte entre eux, mais sans que les mots ne soient vraiment échangés.
