Cette chanson évoque les habitudes d'un homme bon et respectueux, mais qui éprouve une rancœur particulière envers l'inventeur de la cigarette. Bien qu'il ne soit pas opposé à fumer lui-même, il critique les accros à la nicotine qui perturbent tout, que ce soit lors de jeux ou de moments en amoureux. Au fil des couplets, on découvre des scènes humoristiques où même lors d'une partie de poker ou d'un rendez-vous, la nécessité de prendre une pause pour fumer prend le dessus sur tout le reste. Finalement, l’idée centrale tourne autour de cette dépendance qui semble inéluctable, se moquant des situations absurdes qui en découlent.
