La chanson évoque le parcours d'une personne qui se sent mal à l'aise et incomprise durant sa période au lycée. En quête d'amour et d'acceptation, elle se tourne vers la philosophie et la spiritualité du mouvement Krishna en se rendant au Moyen-Orient. De retour chez elle, elle réalise que les relations familiales ne sont pas aussi simples qu'elle l'aurait souhaité, se sentant désormais étrangère à son propre foyer. Le refrain, répétitif et percutant, souligne son attachement à cette nouvelle croyance, presque comme un cri de ralliement face à ses luttes intérieures.
