Cette chanson évoque le sentiment de solitude d'un poète, le dernier sur Terre, qui tente de s'exprimer mais se trouve confronté à une impasse verbale lorsqu'il s'agit de parler de l'amour. Malgré sa maîtrise des mots, il semble incapable de décrire les émotions profondes qu'il ressent pour une autre personne, un paradoxe qui met en lumière l'intensité de ses sentiments. Les images de beauté et de lumière, notamment celles d'un monastère, soulignent l'idée que certaines expériences transcendent les mots et que même le plus talentueux des poètes peut se sentir démuni. Le contexte de cette œuvre peut être perçu dans une époque où les mots ont perdu leur pouvoir ou leur portée, d'autant plus quand il s'agit d'exprimer des émotions complexes.
