La chanson évoque une période tumultueuse de l'adolescence marquée par la découverte des drogues et les complications qui en découlent. Le contexte regroupe la libération sexuelle et les excès des années 70, où les drogues étaient omniprésentes et façonnaient les relations. Cette époque représente une génération en quête d'identité et d'amour, perdue entre les attentes de la société et leurs propres désirs, où l'innocence se heurte à la dure réalité.
