Cette chanson évoque la douleur de la séparation et la mélancolie qui l'accompagne. Elle décrit une personne qui lutte avec l'absence de son amante, exprimant qu'à chaque goutte de pluie, il ressent la perte de cet amour. Le protagoniste sait que malgré des ruptures passées, le retour de sa compagne reste un espoir lointain, et chaque son de la pluie lui rappelle son chagrin.
