The intro and verses are comprised of alternate bars of 3/4 then 4/4 time hence the strumming patterm adds up to 7. The chorus however is in 3/4 time. I’ve inserted the slash marks as a guide so you can get the rhythm and syncopation with the lyrics. There’s also a little bass run that’s happening behind the chords in the intro phrase and verses which I’ve tried to build into the chords. In the intro it’s just: a (open 5th) for 2 full beats then c# (4th fret of 5th string) for one full beat then again for 4 full beats. In the verses it seems to go: for 2 beats for beat for 2 beats (2nd fret string) for 1 beat (4th fret string) for 3 beats for 1 beat. Rinse and repeat.
