La chanson raconte une histoire tragique alors qu'une vallée autrefois paisible est bouleversée par la violence et la destruction. Elle évoque les souffrances infligées aux populations autochtones et à la nature, avec des images poignantes de la guerre, de la perte et du changement qui a frappé le pays. On y voit également une réflexion sur l'évolution des priorités humaines, passant de la quête de la richesse à la dévastation de notre environnement.
