Cette chanson évoque le sentiment d'errer et le désir de s'échapper face à l'arrivée de l’hiver. L’interprète ressent une mélancolie profonde en voyant la nature se transformer : les températures se rafraîchissent, les feuilles tombent et l’été s’éloigne. Elle évoque aussi des souvenirs d'amour d’été, ternis par la froideur qui s’installe.
