Uncle Sam Blues
Jefferson Airplane
Yup an old blues classic that Jorma played with the Airplane 1969-1971. The chords in song are different in all versions but this tab uses the chords that Jorma teaches at Peace Ranch and it sounds pretty damn good compared to the live Woodstock version. You mix it up a little by adding 7ths here and there. Have fun with this! How can you not?! Got my questionnaire baby You know I’m headed off for war I got my questionnaire baby You know I’m headed off for war Well there’s 40000 guys in the service list Doin’ somethin’ somewhere they just don’t understand Well Uncle Sam ain’t no woman You know he sure can take your man Said Uncle Sam ain’t no woman You know he sure can take your man Well now I’m gonna do some fightin’ Well no one knows what for (solo in A minor pentatonic) Well I’m gonna do some fightin’ Of that I can be sure Said I’m gonna do some fightin’ Of that I can be sure Well now I want to kill somebody Won’t have to break no kind of law (solo in A minor pentatonic) I got my questionnaire baby You know I’m headed off for war I got my questionnaire baby You know I’m headed off for war Well I want to kill somebody Won’t have to break no kind of law
