La chanson évoque la douleur d'une séparation et le sentiment de vide qu'elle engendre. Le narrateur traverse un processus difficile, comptant chaque jour qui passe depuis le départ de l'être aimé. Il exprime sa frustration et sa tristesse, se remémorant les moments passés et regrettant les mots qu'il n'a pas pu dire. Chaque jour semble être un fardeau, rendant l'absence encore plus pesante.
