La chanson évoque les luttes intérieures d'un jeune homme qui se sent perdu et isolé, bien qu’il soit en réalité semblable à beaucoup d’autres. Il évoque un sentiment de solitude malgré le fait qu'il cherche à s'affirmer et à être vivant.
