La chanson évoque la douleur et la solitude ressenties après une rupture amoureuse. Le narrateur se retrouve abandonné, incapable d’exprimer ses émotions face à cette perte. Alors qu'il se retrouve seul, il pleure la disparition de l'amour qu'il avait. Les larmes deviennent un symbole de son chagrin et de son désespoir. Tout cela se déroule dans un cadre où la tristesse et l'absence d'affection se font lourdement ressentir, accentuant la souffrance du protagoniste qui se retrouve tout seul, sans personne à ses côtés.
