La chanson évoque le sentiment d’insatisfaction face à l’éternel changement et à l’éphémère de la vie. Le protagoniste ressent une pression constante, comme si chaque moment de calme était suivi d'une nouvelle épreuve à surmonter. Les questions récurrentes sur le temps, le prix à payer et la lutte pour aller de l’avant soulignent une lutte intérieure face à l'impermanence des choses.
