La chanson évoque les doutes et les inquiétudes d'une femme qui se demande où peut se trouver son mari. Alors que tout semble paisible à l'extérieur, elle est rattrapée par des pensées inquiétantes sur son éventuelle infidélité et les conséquences que cela pourrait avoir sur leur vie. Le long week-end en tête-à-tête qu’elle imaginait se transforme en tourment, car elle se rend compte qu'il n'y a pas de garantie de bonheur pour l'avenir. Les petites choses, comme son retard, viennent ébranler sa confiance, et il lui reste peu de personnes vers qui se tourner pour obtenir du réconfort. Ce tableau dépeint la réalité des relations, où les doutes peuvent facilement s'immiscer et où la peur de la solitude se mêle à l’amour.
