La chanson parle d'un homme qui se retrouve seul et qui réfléchit à la douleur d'un cœur brisé. Il se regarde dans le miroir et se rend compte qu'il est le plus grand naïf dans cette situation. Sa solitude est amplifiée par la perte d'une personne qu'il aimait, qui est partie sans prévenir, laissant derrière elle des souvenirs et un vide immense. Ce moment de réflexion se déroule dans un cadre assez sombre où l'absence de l'autre pèse lourdement sur lui. Il passe sa journée à ressasser des pensées mélancoliques, soulignant la difficulté de surmonter une rupture et la lutte intérieure qu’il endure.
