Verse 1 repeated: End of October The sleepy brown woods seem to Nod down their heads to the winter Yellows and gray paint the sad skies today And I wonder when you’re coming home    I wonder when you’re coming home     I wonder when you’re coming home "Old Tennessee" was written when I lived on a farm outside of Nashville as a parody of east coast folk music. It was written about a young lady I briefly cohabited with and her subsequent departure.
