La chanson évoque les frustrations d'une jeune femme qui en a assez des soucis relationnels d'une amie, notamment autour des hommes. Elle lui fait comprendre qu'il est temps de passer à autre chose, car les problèmes de couple ne semblent jamais s'arranger. Elle se rend compte qu'elle traverse elle-même une rupture, mais, étrangement, ça ne l'affecte pas tant que ça. Le message tourne autour des dilemmes affectifs et des préoccupations des jeunes adultes, où l'amitié et l'amour se croisent souvent. Dans un contexte de tensions émotionnelles, il y a une certaine légèreté qui transparaît, comme si, finalement, les « problèmes de garçons » ne sont qu'une facette passagère de la vie.
